Job description
We are seeking an experienced and skilled System Engineer with a strong background in HCL Domino administration, server builds and migrations (Windows to Linux), SSO project implementation, server patching, PowerShell scripting, and Windows shares migration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless server operations, executing critical migration projects, automating processes, and maintaining high levels of system availability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
o Administer and manage HCL Domino servers, including mail routing, replication, and cluster configurations.
o Monitor and maintain Domino server health, performance, and security.
o Troubleshoot and resolve complex Domino server issues.
o Plan and execute server builds and migrations from Windows to Linux platforms.
o Ensure minimal downtime and data integrity during migration processes.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless server transition.
o Design and implement SSO solutions for various platforms, ensuring secure authentication and access control.
o Work with application teams to integrate SSO with existing services.
o Manage and deploy critical OS patches and updates for both Windows and Linux environments.
o Schedule and coordinate patching activities to minimize impact on business operations.
o Ensure compliance with security and audit requirements.
o Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency.
o Create scripts for system monitoring, patch deployment, and configuration management.
o Lead and execute Windows shares migration projects, ensuring data security and accessibility.
o Maintain permissions and access controls during and after migration.
o Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, migration plans, and operational procedures.
o Develop runbooks, FAQs, and user guides for internal teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in HCL Domino administration and server management.
- Proven experience in server migration (Windows to Linux).
- Hands-on experience with SSO integration and server patching.
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and process improvement.
- Experience in Windows shares migration, including permissions and data integrity management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Linux shell scripting.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
- Certification in HCL Domino Administration or related technologies.
- Strong understanding of ITIL practices.
