To enhance client’s Shopify-based eCommerce platform by delivering

high-quality front-end development using Shopify’s Liquid language. This role focuses on

delivering aesthetically compelling and responsive user interfaces while supporting user

experience and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Build, modify, and maintain custom Shopify themes using the Liquid templating language.
Develop reusable sections, snippets, and templates for flexible content layouts.
Ensure adherence to Shopify theme architecture, performance best practices, and coding standards.
Manage and optimise metafields, dynamic content, and conditional logic within Liquid files.
Ensure cross-browser, cross-device compatibility and accessibility compliance
Build custom UI components such as modals, sliders, product selectors, etc., with JavaScript (vanilla or jQuery), CSS (SCSS), and HTML5.
Work with the design and marketing teams to enhance conversion rates through layout and styling improvements.
Improve site speed through asset optimisation, lazy loading, and minimisation of code bloat.
Implement structured data, meta tags, and semantic HTML for better crawlability.
Resolve Liquid errors, theme bugs, and app conflicts that affect SEO.
Write well-structured, clearly commented code in Git with version control.
Conduct thorough testing across devices and browsers before deployment.
Maintain developer documentation for theme structure and custom functionality.
A responsive, visually consistent, and optimised Shopify storefront.
Custom templates and sections that empower content and marketing teams.
Monthly developer report covering deployments, fixes, and performance improvements.
