As a Social Media Intern at CWI, you will:
- Assist in planning, creating, and scheduling engaging content across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
- Maintain and update the social media content calendar, ensuring it’s shared promptly with the review team for feedback.
- Monitor trending topics in cybersecurity, internet governance, and politics; propose timely posts and multimedia assets.
- Analyze post performance using platform analytics; prepare weekly reports with insights and recommendations.
- Coordinate with the design team to source visuals, infographics, and short videos.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Development: Research, draft, and proofread posts aligned with CWI’s voice and brand guidelines.
- Scheduling & Publishing: Use scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite) to publish on time and optimize reach.
- Community Engagement: Respond to comments and messages; foster discussions in a professional tone.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track KPIs (engagement rate, reach, follower growth); present findings in concise reports.
- Cross‑Team Collaboration: Work closely with content, design, and publishing teams to ensure cohesive campaigns.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a bachelor’s program in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- Familiarity with major social platforms and basic analytics dashboards.
- Strong writing, proofreading, and storytelling skills in English.
- Creative mindset with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Spark) is a plus.
- Interest in cybersecurity, internet governance, or political analysis.
