Position Title: Tax Officer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Officer to manage the organization’s tax-related matters. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws, assist in timely filing of returns, handle tax audits, and support the finance team with tax planning and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file timely monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (including Income Tax, Sales Tax, Withholding Tax, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with FBR and PRA regulations and maintain proper documentation of all tax records
- Coordinate with external tax consultants/auditors and provide necessary documentation during tax audits or inquiries
- Maintain accurate withholding tax records and ensure timely issuance of tax certificates
- Support in tax planning and strategy to optimize tax exposure while ensuring legal compliance
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and advise management accordingly
- Reconcile tax accounts with general ledger
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports with respect to taxation
- Respond to tax notices and correspondences in coordination with the finance head
- File applications for tax exemptions, adjustments, or refunds where applicable
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in taxation (preferably in a corporate or tax consultancy firm)
- Strong knowledge of Income Tax Ordinance 2001, Sales Tax Act, and Withholding tax laws
- Experience working with FBR, PRA, and tax filing portals
Skills Required:
- Strong analytical and numeric skills
- Familiarity with tax software and ERP systems
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent record-keeping abilities
- Ability to work independently and handle pressure

Pay: Rs70,000.00 - Rs90,000.00 per month
