The Technical Sales Officer is responsible for promoting and selling fertilizer and agricultural products to farmers, dealers, and distributors. This role involves providing agronomic support, demonstrating product benefits, and achieving sales targets through direct field engagement and technical consultation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell fertilizers and related agricultural products to farmers and agro-dealers.
- Conduct regular field visits to demonstrate product usage, benefits, and best agricultural practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, dealers, and distributors.
- Provide technical support to customers regarding crop nutrition, soil health, and product application.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets in the assigned territory.
- Organize farmer meetings, field trials, and product demonstrations.
- Collect market intelligence on competitor activities, pricing, and product feedback.
- Report field activities and sales data to management regularly.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Soil Science, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant sales or fieldwork experience in the agriculture or fertilizer industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of fertilizers, soil health, and crop management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively in rural areas.
- Ability to work independently and manage field activities efficiently.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Rs45,000.00 - Rs65,000.00 per month
