Position Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable, customer-focused Travel Consultant to assist clients in planning and booking travel arrangements including flights, accommodations, tours, and visas. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for travel, and a keen attention to detail to ensure smooth, tailored experiences for both individual and corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients in planning, organizing, and booking domestic and international travel.
- Offer expert advice on destinations, travel routes, visa requirements, accommodations, and itineraries.
- Book transportation, hotels, tour packages, insurance, and other travel-related services using global distribution systems (GDS) or travel platforms.
- Provide accurate cost estimates and manage client budgets while offering value-added travel solutions.
- Stay updated with current travel regulations, safety guidelines, airline policies, and visa processes.
- Handle rebooking, cancellations, travel changes, and emergency assistance for clients.
- Maintain accurate client records and travel documentation.
- Promote and upsell special packages, tours, or promotional travel deals.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the booking and post-travel phases.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
- .1–2 years of experience as a travel consultant or in a related customer service/travel role.
- Strong knowledge of global destinations, airlines, and booking systems.
- Proficiency in using travel software such as Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple bookings efficiently.
- Strong sales orientation and customer service mindset.
