We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Windows Administrator to provide escalated technical support and maintain the operational efficiency, availability, and security of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing incidents, problems, service requests, change management processes, and system maintenance. This role includes after-hours support and requires a strong focus on communication, customer service, and continuous technical improvement.
Responsibilities
- Provide escalated technical support for incidents, problems, service requests, and maintenance activities, including after-hours support.
- Log and manage support cases with vendors, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
- Perform regular patching of systems to protect against vulnerabilities.
- Administer change management activities related to server upgrades and software installations.
- Review, manage, and maintain automated infrastructure monitoring systems to ensure proactive issue identification and resolution.
- Maintain and continuously improve the operational availability and efficiency of all infrastructure and IT solutions.
- Deliver training and knowledge transfer to end users and IT team members.
- Take ownership of tasks and promote efficient task management practices.
- Collaborate with the wider IT team to enhance the technical skill set in line with operational goals and compliance policies.
- Foster a culture of strong communication and collaboration across departments.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Windows Administrator or in a similar IT infrastructure role.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant field
- Strong understanding of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and system patching.
- Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring tools and incident management systems.
- Experience in managing change and release processes in enterprise environments.
- Excellent customer service and complaint-handling skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective task and time management abilities.
- Willingness to provide after-hours support as needed.
