We’re looking for a skilled WordPress Developer to join our team and help build, customize, and maintain high-quality WordPress websites. You’ll work closely with designers, marketers, and product teams to deliver seamless, responsive, and performance-optimized digital experiences.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about clean code, scalable architecture, and modern WordPress development practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
- Convert Figma/Sketch/PSD designs into responsive, SEO-friendly WordPress websites.
- Ensure optimal website performance, speed, and scalability.
- Implement third-party integrations, including APIs and marketing tools (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp).
- Customize and extend existing WordPress sites using hooks, filters, and WP best practices.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues related to themes, plugins, and hosting environments.
- Collaborate with designers and content teams to ensure high-quality user experience.
- Maintain website security, backups, and updates regularly.
- Stay current with new tools, trends, and best practices in WordPress and web development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3–5 years of professional experience in WordPress development.
- Strong knowledge of WordPress core, theme and plugin development.
- Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (especially jQuery), and MySQL.
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks and build tools (e.g., React, Webpack, Sass) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Gutenberg block development.
- Experience with WooCommerce, ACF (Advanced Custom Fields), and popular plugins.
- Understanding of SEO, performance optimization, and accessibility best practices.
- Version control experience using Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with headless WordPress or REST API.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Basic knowledge of web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tag Manager).
