The Department of Medicine comprises of independent sections of Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Nephrology, Neurology, and Pulmonary & Critical Care. The department has over 70+ full-time Faculty with a strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate education and research. Residency Programmes are offered in Internal Medicine, Neurology, Adult Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonary Medicine, Nephrology and Dermatology, as well as Fellowship Programmes in Clinical Neurophysiology & Electrodiagnostic Medicine, Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism, Interventional Cardiology and Infectious Diseases.

The Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Associate in the Department of Medicine.
Responsibilities
You will be expected to:
- Understand the clinical indicators of each section, gathering the required data through audits.
- Reading of patient files in HIMS
- Coordinate with different dept leads to collect the data for OPPE report generation.
- Prepare OPPE reports for each faculty using the data collected through audits.
- Submit the OPPE reports to the central office in coordination with the departmental manager
- Coordinate the educational Grand Rounds of the Department of Medicine which includes, coordinating with the different speakers for dates and topics, gathering content and developing flyers, advertising them, and maintaining attendance data after the session
- Share feedback evaluation forms with all faculty and maintain a record of completed forms
- Any other task assigned by Assistant Manager or Departmental Manager.
Requirements
You must have:
- Nursing Degree / Medical Background
- 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of maintaining basic clinical indicators
- Should have strong Excel skills
- Knowledge of using clinical applications used at AKU
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills
- Demonstrate strong critical thinking abilities, organizational and management skills
- Demonstrate teamwork, maturity & ability to work independently
- Good skills in computer applications especially MS Office
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong multitasking capabilities.
