Introduction:
The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for the betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level.

Responsibilities:
You will be expected to:• work as part of the GIS team to fulfill project-specific geospatial data and mapping requirements• continuously explore and learn new GIS tools and technologies, applying them to develop effective project solutions.
• collaborate with development and design teams to enhance GIS-related features and improve the overall user experience.
• provide GIS analysis and spatial data support across various research or technical projects
• track data and ensure timely completion
• maintain Red Cap Database or other study-related database.
Requirements:
You should have:• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Geographic Information Systems(GIS), Geoinformatics or a related field• 2 years of experience as a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst or in a related geospatial data role
• familiarity with GIS tools and technologies, particularly ArcGIS and/or QGIS, R, Python
• basic understanding of spatial data processing, map creation, and geospatial analysis techniques
• strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• eagerness to learn and grow in the field of geospatial data analysis
