We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bidder to join our business development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and bidding on software development projects on various freelancing platforms (e.g., Upwork, Freelancer, Guru, PeoplePerHour). You will support our development team by securing opportunities in custom software development, SaaS solutions, web and mobile applications (iOS & Android), and software testing services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify relevant projects on freelancing platforms aligned with our software development and SaaS service offerings.
- Draft compelling proposals and bids tailored to client requirements, highlighting our team’s technical strengths and project experience.
- Collaborate with the technical team to understand project scope, timelines, and deliverables before bidding.
- Maintain and manage client communication from initial contact to successful project onboarding.
- Track submitted bids, follow up on opportunities, and provide regular updates on bid status and client responses.
- Analyze job postings to qualify leads, filter potential clients, and assess feasibility.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Proven 2 years' experience in bidding for software/web/mobile/SaaS projects on freelancing platforms.
- Familiarity with Upwork, Freelancer, Guru, PeoplePerHour, or similar platforms.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to write clear, concise, and persuasive proposals.
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), web/mobile technologies, and SaaS models.
- Ability to understand technical briefs and translate them into client-focused solutions.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with software development agencies or startups.
- Background in sales or marketing for IT/tech services.
- Basic knowledge of tools like Trello, Jira, Slack, CRM systems, or bidding automation tools.
