Job Summary:
The CCTV Technician/Operator is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and monitoring of CCTV systems. The role ensures the safety and security of premises by providing real-time surveillance and recording evidence as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain CCTV systems and related equipment (cameras, DVRs/NVRs, monitors, cables).
- Monitor live CCTV footage for suspicious activity and ensure proper coverage of critical areas.
- Troubleshoot and repair CCTV hardware/software faults.
- Maintain recording systems and ensure data is archived securely and retrievable.
- Perform regular system checks and preventive maintenance.
- Respond promptly to technical issues and camera outages.
- Document installations, configurations, and incidents accurately.
- Collaborate with the IT and security team for system integration and upgrades.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma or Certificate in Electronics, IT, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in CCTV installation or monitoring (preferred).
- Knowledge of IP-based camera systems and networking basics.
- Familiarity with DVR/NVR systems and surveillance software.
- Ability to read and follow technical diagrams/manuals.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail and vigilance during monitoring tasks.
Working Hours:
- Flexible shifts may include weekends and holidays.
- On-call availability for emergencies (if required).
