Key Responsibilities:
- Make outbound cold calls to suppliers, subcontractors, and prospects to collect pricing data and service information.
- Develop and maintain a database of contacts for estimation and procurement purposes.
- Assist the estimation team in compiling and organizing data for accurate project cost assessments.
- Build relationships with vendors and potential partners to ensure timely and competitive quotes.
- Follow up on previous calls and maintain consistent communication with key contacts.
- Support the proposal and bid submission process by providing up-to-date cost information.
- Log call activity and maintain detailed records of communication in CRM or Excel sheets.
- Coordinate with internal teams to align vendor quotes with project requirements.
- Help identify cost-saving opportunities through comparative analysis of vendor quotes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- 1–2 years of experience in cold calling, telemarketing, customer service, or sales coordination.
- Excellent verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and data entry skills.
- Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls daily.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and CRM tools (if used).
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with construction or engineering industry terminology.
- Experience working with vendors or subcontractors.
- Understanding of basic cost estimation processes is a plus.
