Introduction:
The Female Hostel Supervisor & On-Call Duty Nurse is responsible for managing the daily operations of the female hostel while also attending to the health and well-being of resident students. This position requires a responsible, organized, and compassionate individual who can ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment.

Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Supervisor in the Female Hostel.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to:
- to assist Manager University Residences in looking after Hostels and supervising overall activities of the hostel while performing duties in rotation;
- to maintain a very close liaison and coordination with the housekeeping, maintenance, security, horticulture and other departments concerned to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, health, maintenance, safety & security and overall ambience of the hostel premises worth living;
- to take care of students residing in the female hostel and resolve their day-to-day issues;
- to ensure that the complaints lodged by the students have been followed by the relevant departments;
- to ensure that overall hostel premises are kept in a neat and clean state;
- to ensure that no unauthorized person enters within the hostel premises;
- students do not leave hostel premises unauthorizedly and uninformed, and in and out timings are recorded in the book;
- to ensure that hostel facilities are not misused/ damaged;
- to conduct surprise checks of student rooms for any illegal and unauthorized activity taking place in the room or employing unauthorized electrical appliances in the rooms;
- identify the health need assessment and make medical referral accordingly (Applicable for all Hostellites);
- provide first aid and basic medical care for injuries, illness and general health concerns(Applicable for all Hostellites);
- educate students and staff on hygiene, nutrition and mental wellbeing (Applicable for all Hostellites);
- response promptly to the medical emergencies, provide immediate care and coordinate with external health care providers when necessary (Applicable for all Hostellites);
- conduct regular health screening and wellness assessments to detect early signs of physical or emotional issues(Applicable for all Hostellites);
- maintain proper documentation of all treatments, incidents and health related communications (Applicable for all Hostellites).
Requirements:
You should have:
- atleast Intermediate and Diploma of Bachelors Degree in Nursing (Registered Nurse preferred).
- 3-5 years’ working experience in Nursing, also having supervisory role in the hospitality industry or hostels. An academic environmental experience will be considered an advantage.
- understanding of and ability to communicate with young people with diverse backgrounds
- high level of tolerance and calm disposition to be able to deal with difficult and challenging people.
- good administrative and organizational skills and ability to resolve administrative problems.
- handling workload and meeting timelines under pressure.
- good public dealing ability.
- ability to use computer and common use software like MS Office, Internet etc.
- ability to handle shift work and perform extra duties as and when required.
