Job Title: Lead Gen AI Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and technically strong Lead Gen AI Engineer to lead a high-performing offshore team focused on delivering Generative AI and NLP-based solutions in the real estate domain. This role requires close collaboration with the Gen AI Architect and direct responsibility for execution, delivery, and technical leadership across Gen AI initiatives.
The ideal candidate will drive team performance, guide engineering best practices, and ensure seamless coordination with onshore stakeholders, including availability up to 12 AM IST.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the offshore engineering team in the development, testing, and deployment of Gen AI and NLP applications.
Translate high-level architectural designs into clear and actionable technical workstreams in collaboration with the Lead Architect.
Guide the team on best practices in GPT-based development, prompt engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and AI Agent integration.
Oversee sprint planning, task tracking, code reviews, and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
Act as the primary offshore point of contact for daily status updates, blockers, and escalations.
Support integration with APIs, data pipelines, and visualization layers as required.
Ensure clear and timely communication with the onshore team, facilitating smooth hand-offs and progress updates.
Maintain availability for client and team collaboration up to 12 AM IST as needed.
Mandatory Skills
Proven experience delivering Gen AI or NLP-based applications in production.
Strong hands-on knowledge of:
GPT model integration (e.g., ChatGPT, GPT-4)
Prompt Engineering
RAG pipelines
AI Agent development
Proficiency in Python and understanding of ML development practices.
Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Git).
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
Experience working in hybrid customer collaboration models, with time zone overlap.
Good-to-Have Skills
Experience integrating with REST APIs, data pipelines, and frontend visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Familiarity with MLOps, model versioning, or deployment tools like Docker, MLflow.
Exposure to the real estate domain or similar data-heavy verticals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
Demonstrated leadership experience in managing small-to-mid-sized engineering teams.
Experience working on real-world Gen AI or NLP projects with measurable outcomes.
Comfortable working in a hybrid setting and managing overlap hours up to 12 AM IST.
