We are looking for an Lead Amazon PPC Manager to take charge of our Amazon advertising department — leading the PPC team, developing winning strategies, ensuring client satisfaction, and planning capacity for growth.
Role Overview
As the Lead Amazon PPC Manager, you will be the strategic head of our Amazon PPC operations. You’ll have full command over campaign planning, execution, optimization, and reporting for a portfolio of client accounts. Your role will also involve mentoring PPC managers, planning workload capacity, ensuring client retention, and aligning the PPC strategy with each client’s business goals.
This is a leadership role where you will not just manage campaigns but build a high-performance PPC team, ensure operational efficiency, and directly contribute to client satisfaction and agency growth.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and train the PPC managers and specialists.
- Review team performance, provide guidance on strategies, and ensure consistent quality of campaign management.
- Plan capacity and resource allocation — assess how many accounts each manager can effectively handle without compromising results.
- Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Amazon PPC workflow.
Client Management & Retention
- Act as the strategic point of contact for key accounts, ensuring expectations are met and exceeded.
- Identify opportunities to scale client accounts and present growth strategies.
- Maintain long-term client relationships through proactive communication, reporting, and delivering measurable results.
- Troubleshoot performance drops and proactively provide solutions.
Campaign Strategy & Execution
- Develop and oversee end-to-end Amazon PPC strategies across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display.
- Conduct competitor analysis, keyword research, and bid optimizations to maximize ROI.
- Ensure all campaigns follow Amazon best practices and adapt strategies to algorithm changes.
- Implement advanced targeting tactics including product targeting, ASIN harvesting, and audience segmentation.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor KPIs including ACOS, TACOS, CTR, CPC, Conversion Rate, and ROAS.
- Oversee campaign audits and deliver actionable performance insights to clients.
- Maintain detailed monthly performance reports with recommendations for scaling.
Qualifications & Skills
- 4+ years of Amazon PPC management experience (agency or brand side).
- Proven leadership experience managing PPC teams or departments.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in Amazon Ads Console, Amazon DSP (a plus), and third-party tools like Helium 10, Pacvue, or Perpetua.
- Deep understanding of ACOS, TACOS, and profitability metrics.
- Exceptional communication skills — both with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to plan and manage workload capacity effectively.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on client retention and account growth.
