Physiotherapy and rehabilitation department at AKUH provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services to assist adults and children in improving their physical and neurological disabilities. Psychological, social and vocational interventions are some of the modalities that are employed in order to restore physical functions, minimize pain and disability of the patients.

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to:
- Carry out all functions of cashier for the departments, sell crutches, walkers, medical supplies and organize in/outpatient billing activities.
- Handle upset patients and their relatives, add resolve minor verbal complaints.
- Educate and advise patients and their families about how to prevent and improve conditions.
- Deal with patients, professionals, non-professionals, and other visitors over the phone and in person.
- Coordinate staff attendance, preventive maintenance, payroll, infection control, housekeeping, laundry, and bio-medical repairs.
- Arrange patient appointments, make X-rays and medical records available.
- Collect department statistics and present them as needed.
- Order supplies and maintain inventory.
- Ensure compliance with department policies and organizational quality standards i.e., ISO & ICIA.
- 1Carry out all secretarial work for the department.
- Guide patients at the time of registration as per client's needs.
Requirements:
You should have:
- Graduation (minimum requirement)
- Two years of related work experience as a receptionist
- Knowledge of cash handling is preferable
- Proficiency in billing tasks
- Experience in cash handling
- Knowledge of bookkeeping
- Typing and word-processing skills
- Ability to draft memos and letters
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good command of English (written and verbal)
- Experience in secretarial work
