About the role
As part of Nutrition International’s (NI) Technical Team and based in the Pakistan Country Office, the National Program Manager – LSFF Regulations is responsible for leading and supporting legislative and regulatory processes related to food fortification in Pakistan. This includes advancing and approval of the legal framework, rules, regulations, policies, standards for wheat flour, edible oil, and iodized salt under the LSFF portfolio. In this role you will be responsible to:
· Act as the focal point for all legislative and regulatory initiatives under the LSFF portfolio to support fortification initiatives for all three commodities of wheat flour, edible oil and edible salt iodization.
· Coordinate with relevant national and provincial ministries, departments and authorities (e.g., Health, Food, Law, P&D Departments, Assembly Secretariat, Cabinet Division) and serve as a primary liaison to facilitate the advancement and approval of food fortification laws, rules, regulations, standards and related policies.
· Translate technical inputs and program evidence into policy advocacy messages and actionable recommendations to strengthen regulatory, policy level frameworks, drawing on guidance from WHO, Codex Alimentarius, and national standards, in collaboration with the Senior LSFF Manager.
· Facilitate multi-stakeholder consultations with private sector actors (e.g., salt processors, wheat flour, and edible oil industries), public sector bodies (e.g., Food Departments, Food Authorities, PSQCA, PCSIR), and development partners (e.g. WFP, UNICEF, WHO) to build consensus on LSFF priorities and support finalization and approval of laws, rules and regulations.

Requirements
About you
You will have a Master’s degree in Public Health, Food Sciences, Food Systems, Nutrition, Public Policy, or related disciplines with a minimum of 8 years of progressive professional experience in food fortification, policy advocacy, regulatory affairs, or related fields—preferably with experience in Pakistan’s food systems and public sector structures.
You will come with a proven ability to engage and coordinate with government ministries, regulatory bodies, and enforcement agencies on legal frameworks, MOUs, and NOCs related to LSFF implementation—including in complex geographies such as Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).
Fluency in English and Urdu is a prerequisite.
