Onboarding Retouching Manager will lead and manage the retouching onboarding process for a high volume of imagery across multiple brands and categories. This role is critical in ensuring the timely and accurate transition of new assets from capture or vendor delivery through the production pipeline. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of digital imaging workflows, a strong eye for detail and color, and proven experience managing high-volume production in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This individual will act as a quality gatekeeper, workflow optimizer, and liaison across creative, studio, and production teams to ensure the successful onboarding of assets.
Responsibilities:
Key Accountabilities
- Maintain a keen eye for color accuracy and consistency.
- Follow established file management protocols, including DAM usage, proper naming conventions, and image organization.
- Review and assess imagery from third-party retouching vendors; apply additional adjustments as needed.
- Retouch and color correct imagery to accurately reflect product appearance.
- Perform daily quality control checks and help ensure all deadlines are met.
- Work efficiently and with a sense of urgency to meet high-volume deadlines without compromising quality.
- Participate in team meetings to support workflow optimization and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to proactively identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain and update the department‘s digital Swatch Library.
- Continuously develop retouching skills to stay current with industry trends and maintain brand consistency.
- Train retouching team members. Uphold and contribute to the development of retouching processes, workflows, and image standards.

Skills and Behaviors
- Expert knowledge of Photoshop, including layers, masks, paths, color correction tools, actions, and batch processing.
- Strong understanding of color theory, with proficiency in RGB.
- Background in photography, lighting, or fine art is preferred.
- Exceptional visual acuity and attention to detail, with an artistic eye and solid conceptual design skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Creative, resourceful, and adaptable, with a focus on maintaining image quality.
- Comfortable interacting with cross-functional teams and adapting to different communication styles.
