Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Tester/QA Analyst to join our QA team at a leading retail e-commerce platform with multiple third-party integrations and complex mobile app experiences. The ideal candidate will bring over a decade of experience in comprehensive testing strategies, a deep understanding of ecommerce flows, and a strong command of mobile app testing methodologies. This role demands a quality-first mindset, attention to detail, and collaborative engagement with cross-functional product, design, and development teams.
Key Responsibilities Test Planning & Strategy: -
Develop and execute robust test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ecommerce web and mobile platforms.
Define test strategies for new features, enhancements, and third-party service integrations. Ensure regression coverage and test data management.
Functional & Integration Testing:
- Perform end-to-end functional, UI/UX, and integration testing for retail workflows (product discovery, cart, checkout, returns).
Validate integration with payment gateways, shipping APIs, analytics, CRM, marketing tools, and inventory systems.
Mobile App Testing: -
Test iOS and Android applications across multiple OS versions and devices.
Use tools like Appium, BrowserStack, Firebase Test Lab for automation and real-device testing.
Validate push notifications, deep linking, and performance metrics.
Automation & Tools: -
Build and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, TestNG, Appium, or similar frameworks. Integrate with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Bug Management & Reporting:
Log, triage, and track bugs using tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr. Work closely with developers to resolve critical issues and verify fixes.
Performance & Security Testing: -
Conduct performance, load, and stress testing of ecommerce APIs and apps.
Support basic security testing and compliance validation.
Required Skills & Qualifications -
10+ years in software testing, QA methodologies, and test lifecycle management.
Strong experience in ecommerce platforms, preferably fashion/retail domain. Hands-on with mobile app testing tools and device labs.
Experience with third-party API testing and validation. Knowledge of SQL, basic scripting, and API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
Familiar with agile development environments and sprint-based QA cycles.
Preferred Experience -
Background in testing customer-facing ecommerce websites with high transaction volumes.
Exposure to cloud-based test automation tools and real-user monitoring solutions. Familiarity with accessibility testing and compliance standards (WCAG).
