Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and experienced Storyboard Artist to join our creative team. The Storyboard Artist will be responsible for visually translating scripts and creative briefs into clear, sequential panels that effectively communicate the narrative, character performance, and cinematic vision of our projects. This role requires strong drawing skills, an excellent understanding of visual storytelling, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:

- Draw characters with appropriate facial expressions, body language, and poses that effectively communicate their emotions, reactions, and actions within the scene.
- Include necessary background elements, environments, and props to establish setting and context for each panel.
- Convey the rhythm, timing, and intended duration of scenes through the design and content of the storyboard panels.
- Work closely with other creative departments (e.g., layout, animation, VFX) to ensure storyboards accurately reflect the creative vision and meet production requirements.
- Incorporate feedback and notes from the creative team efficiently and effectively, making necessary revisions to storyboards while maintaining consistency and artistic quality.
- Utilize industry-standard software and tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Toon Boom Storyboard Pro, Clip Studio Paint, traditional media) for creating and organizing storyboard panels.
- Contribute to the creation of animatics by providing timed sequences of storyboard panels with basic sound, dialogue, and temporary music to visualize the pacing and flow of a scene.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience of 1-3 years as a Storyboard Artist.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional drawing skills, clear visual storytelling, understanding of cinematic language, and diverse character expression. (A portfolio is mandatory for consideration.)
- Expertise in sequential art and the ability to convey narrative through a series of images.
- In-depth knowledge of camera angles, composition, staging, and continuity.
- Proficiency in industry-standard storyboarding software such as Adobe Photoshop, Toon Boom Storyboard Pro, Clip Studio Paint, or similar.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, perspective, light, and shadow.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and receive constructive feedback gracefully.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and adapt to changing project requirements in a fast-paced production environment.
- A collaborative spirit and a passion for visual storytelling.
