The Role (Women Field Trainer)
- Conducting of baseline surveys for women farmers and farm workers information.
- Social mobilization within the farming community to adopt the Better Cotton Standard System (BCSS).
- Engagement in the consultation process to maximise farmers/ farm workers participation in designing and implementation of the activity plan of the PU.
- Development and adherence to the monthly work plan and training plan in collaboration with PU field team.
- Delivery of training sessions as per the monthly plan to BCI-registered women farmers and women workers of the LG on BCI standards and Good Agriculture Practices (GAPs) via Farmer Field School (FFS) approach for maximum outreach.
- Maintenance of up-to-date records of women farmers/workers trainings, adoption and field activities at BCI Farm and Producer Unit level.
- Facilitation of the PUM for necessary record keeping regarding women farmers/ farm workers.
- Establishing and maintaining the GAP demo plots and the necessary information of visitors and farmers' cost-sharing for demo plot maintenance.
- Facilitates internal/ external verifiers for conducting credibility checks and assessments of registered cotton growers.
- Facilitation and coordination with other PU team members for gender inclusion and climate change mitigation among registered better cotton farmers.
- Prepare the progress reports and submit them to the line manager.
- Organising the field visits, meetings, and field days.
- Collection, verification and submission of any types of data needed, including Result Indicator, farmers' information, etc to Producer Unit Manager within the given time period.
- Prepare the fortnightly progress reports, and success stories and submit them to the line manager
- Completion and timely submission of any other task given by line manager for satisfactory completion of the key role requirements.
Education:
- Bachelor in agriculture
- Experience in agriculture and social mobilization among the farming community.
- Knowledge of BCI Production principles and Criteria.
- Strong understanding of cotton production technology and its sustainability issues.
- Strong organisational and learning skills;
- A team player with good interpersonal, communication and networking skills;
- Comfortable working on one’s own initiative as well as following advice;
- Flexible and creative in planning and problem solving;
- Willing to travel to remote and challenging locations in Pakistan.
- Applicant for this role needs to be honest, dedicated, social, motivated, disciplined, and self-organized to deliver quality work at prescribed deadlines.
- Ability to plan work schedules to meet agreed deadlines.
- Effective team player and conversant with a transdisciplinary approach.

Reporting to: Producer Unit Manager
No. of positions: 4
Contract: 8 Months with three months probation period. The placement will be made through third-party contracting firm (United Human Resource Services Pvt. Ltd).
Salary Range: 44,000 PKR (Gross)
Benefits: Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Communication Allowance, Fuel Allowance, EOBI, paid leaves.
Benefits cost will be deducted from gross salary.
Location: Haroonabad, District Bahawalnagar. Local candidates will be given preference.
