Senior Assistant, CITRIC Centre for Patient Safety
Introduction:
The Clinical and Translational Research Incubator (CITRIC) at the Medical College, Aga Khan University, has been established to transform research by creating a centralized space to incubate clinical and translational research projects, enabling them to become large extramurally funded programs with significant national and international impact. The projects at CITRIC will significantly affect the populations that AKU serves, be of the highest peer-reviewed reproducible quality, provide access to research resources, and be contextually aligned with local needs. CITRIC also houses the Dean’s Clinical Research Fellowship (DCRF) program and various research centers, including but not limited to the Centre for Trauma and Emergencies, Centre for Patient Safety, and Centre for Global Surgical Care.
The Centre for Patient Safety (CPS), CITRIC in the Medical College, is a multi-disciplinary research, teaching, learning, and advocacy Centre with a mandate to investigate the conditions affecting patient care and promote systemic patient safety, identify medical errors, and help develop and implement strategies to prevent patient harm in developing countries.

Aga Khan University is inviting applications for the position of Senior Assistant in the CITRIC Centre for Patient Safety
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to:
- ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of administrative activities
- provide all administrative and secretarial support to the administration
- provide administrative support for academic and capacity-building activities
- arrange venues, AV, and logistics at the venue for all academic activities
- organize and maintain files and departmental records to ensure proper information storage and retrieval
- provide administrative support to research activities
- manage & compile departmental data
- issuance, Maintenance, and providing equipment to CPS employees, including laptops, desktops, printers, and tablets
- execute other assignments on an ongoing basis
- manage travel for the CPS staff.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:
You should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, Masters degree will be preferred
- A minimum of one year related work and comparable experience at a reputable and relevant organization
- good communication, interpersonal, and writing skills
- proficiency in computers, especially MS Office and Excel
- excellent organizational capabilities and the ability to handle a diverse set of tasks.
