American Lyceum International School is looking for a committed and knowledgeable Islamiyat Teacher to join our Middle Section faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of Islamic Studies, the ability to explain religious concepts in a student-friendly manner, and a passion for nurturing Islamic values among young learners in Grades 6–8.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Islamiyat topics including Quranic studies, Hadith, Fiqh, Islamic history, and moral values as per the curriculum.
- Plan engaging, age-appropriate lessons that foster understanding and critical thinking.
- Create a respectful and inclusive classroom environment grounded in Islamic principles.
- Use teaching aids, discussions, and digital tools to make lessons interactive and impactful.
- Encourage ethical behavior, respect, and character development in students.
- Assess student understanding through regular quizzes, assignments, and exams.
- Maintain classroom discipline and positive student behavior.
- Communicate with parents on student progress and behavior when needed.
- Participate in school events, religious celebrations, and staff meetings.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and support school-wide Islamic initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Islamic Studies, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching Islamiyat at the middle school level.
- Excellent communication skills in both Urdu and English.
- Sound knowledge of Islamic teachings with the ability to connect them to students' everyday lives.
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with the national curriculum for Islamiyat (preferred).
- Ability to integrate Islamic values into the broader school culture.
