Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QA Executive with 3–5 years of experience in manual software testing. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications by executing comprehensive test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive improvements. Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning and Strategy:
- Assist in developing and maintaining test plans, test cases, and test strategies to ensure software meets quality standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
Test Execution:
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Identify, document, and track defects using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Validate bug fixes and execute re-tests to ensure issue resolution.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure adherence to established QA methodologies and best practices.
- Contribute to the improvement of QA processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Participate in peer reviews of test cases and test results.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with development, product management, and design teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Provide regular updates on testing progress, quality metrics, and potential risks to stakeholders.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain proper documentation of test cases, test results, and defect reports.
- Prepare clear and concise test execution reports for management and stakeholders.
Requirements
Qualification and Experience:
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in manual software testing.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Proficiency in creating and executing test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
- Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
- Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., TestRail) and their application.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Good communication and organizational skills to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Basic knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium) is a plus.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their role in the testing process.
- Familiarity with performance testing concepts and tools.
- Awareness of industry-specific compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
