- Qualification in Occupational/Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health & Safety, Science, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in occupational hygiene, environmental health, or health and safety roles, preferably in mining or industrial environments.
- Exposure monitoring and environmental sampling experience (e.g., noise, dust, chemicals, thermal stress).
- Experience with checklist-based workplace assessments.
- Experience on construction, commissioning, or operational sites is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using monitoring equipment (e.g., air sampling pumps, noise dosimeters, thermal stress tools).
- Ability to perform basic water sample analysis.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, ACGIH).
- Strong data interpretation and report-writing skills.
- Excellent communication skills in Balochi, Urdu, and English.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Conduct regular monitoring of airborne contaminants such as respirable dust, silica, heavy metals, and chemical exposures.
- Perform noise and vibration monitoring to evaluate physical hazards in the workplace.
- Measure and assess heat stress and thermal environments, ensuring compliance with defined thresholds.
- Sample and analyze drinking water in alignment with WHO guidelines.
- Conduct ventilation assessments, food safety inspections, and other occupational hygiene workplace audits.
- Collect and document all monitoring data accurately, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Coordinate sample analysis with certified laboratories, ensuring field blanks and timeliness.
- Analyze exposure and workplace data to identify trends, concerns, and positive compliance.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, including findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Provide practical control and mitigation strategies using the hierarchy of controls.
- Input corrective actions and outcomes into the INX EHS management system for follow-up.
- Prepare individual exposure result notifications and toolbox talk summaries for workers and teams.
- Maintain up-to-date data management records of all hygiene activities.
- Support the HSE team in hazard identification and risk mitigation across departments.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of occupational health procedures and controls.
- Assist with health surveillance programs such as biological monitoring, lung function, and hearing tests.
- Deliver training and awareness sessions on hygiene topics, including PPE, noise, thermal stress, hazardous substances, food and water safety.
- Actively participate in toolbox and pre-start meetings to raise hygiene awareness.
- Assist with emergency response planning and participate in investigations of exposure-related incidents.
- Support continuous improvement of the Occupational Health & Hygiene Program.
- Engage positively and collaboratively with departments and teams to promote a strong health and safety culture.
- • Assist with mentoring or training junior OHH team members as directed by the OHH Lead or Management.
