Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paint Protection Film (PPF) Installer to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have experience applying protective film to vehicle surfaces to preserve paint and enhance appearance. This role requires precision, patience, and a strong eye for detail to ensure a flawless finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare vehicles for film application, including cleaning, decontaminating, and inspecting surfaces.
- Apply paint protection film (PPF) to various vehicle panels including hoods, bumpers, mirrors, doors, and fenders.
- Use tools such as squeegees, heat guns, and cutting tools to ensure smooth application without bubbles, creases, or imperfections.
- Trim and edge-wrap film for seamless integration with the vehicle's body lines.
- Inspect final installations for quality and make any necessary adjustments or corrections.
- Communicate with customers or service advisors about job details, care instructions, and film benefits.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and tools.
- Follow safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines for film application.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a PPF Installer or similar role (minimum 1–2 years preferred).
- Proficient with installation tools and techniques (wet and dry installation methods).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform precise, repetitive hand movements.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or training from recognized PPF manufacturers (e.g., XPEL, 3M, SunTek, STEK).
- Experience in related services such as vinyl wrap, window tinting, or ceramic coating is a plus.
