The Department for Educational Development (DED) is a resource for the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) responsible for developing educational philosophy at FHS, for faculty development and capacity building; for supporting curricular review, revision, and programme evaluation and ensuring quality of examinations.
Responsibilities:
You will assist the supervisor in development of research instrument for the projects, publication and grants according to their objectives prepare and present periodic project related activity reports and ensure quality control and project monitoring.
Specifically, you will be responsible to:
- review literature related to assigned topic
- assist faculty in proposal development and manuscript writing
- conducts assigned qualitative and quantitative analysis
- assist in selection of relevant high impact journals
- review/edits different components of scientific publications
- format manuscript according to journal requirements
- ensure compliance with AKU research requirements and facilitates research audits.
Qualifications - External
You should have:
- a minimum of Bachelor's degree in Statistics or equivalent; Masters will be preferred
- a minimum of two to four years of related experience in the field of admin and research
- excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- excellent initiative, reliability and maturity in problem solving
- excellent written and verbal communication in English and Urdu
- proficient in use of computer packages e.g. MS Office, SPSS, Stata, NVivo, Endnote and Internet based research tools
- ability to prepare minutes of the meeting ability to meet short deadlines.
