The Supply Chain Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the efficient and effective flow of goods, services, and information within the organization's supply chain. This position is responsible for assisting with various aspects of supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and vendor relations, to ensure timely delivery, cost optimization, and high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Support: Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders, track order status, and communicate with suppliers regarding deliveries and discrepancies.
- Inventory Management: Help monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, reconcile discrepancies, and support efforts to optimize warehouse space and stock rotation.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders for inbound and outbound shipments, prepare shipping documentation, and track the movement of goods to ensure on-time delivery.
- Vendor Relations: Maintain effective communication with vendors, assist in evaluating vendor performance, and support the resolution of any supply-related issues.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report on supply chain data, including inventory levels, delivery performance, and cost metrics, to identify areas for improvement.
- Process Improvement: Identify and suggest improvements to existing supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall operational effectiveness.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of all supply chain activities and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments such as sales, production, and finance to ensure seamless supply chain operations and meet business objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a supply chain, logistics, or operations role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (for data analysis and reporting).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
