WordPress Developer (Figma-Savvy & Passionate About Clean Code)
Are you passionate about building functional, fast, and visually appealing websites? Do you love turning pixel-perfect Figma designs into high-performing WordPress websites? We’re looking for a WordPress Developer who’s not only skilled but genuinely excited about web development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins based on Figma designs.
- Convert UI/UX prototypes into fully responsive and dynamic WordPress websites.
- Maintain, update, and optimise existing WordPress sites for speed, performance, and security.
- Troubleshoot issues, debug code, and implement technical solutions as needed.
- Collaborate with content teams and project managers to deliver seamless web experiences.
- Integrate third-party tools, APIs, and plugins as required.
- Install & configure themes and plugins.
- Install WordPress on hosting platforms.
- Create and manage pages & posts.
- Customise menus, widgets, sidebars, colours, fonts, and basic CSS for better design.
- Manage users, roles, and permissions.
- Do basic SEO settings using plugins like Yoast or Rank Math. Design landing pages, blogs, business websites, and portfolios.
- Create responsive websites (mobile/tablet-friendly).
- Use template kits and theme builders.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio.
- Hands-on experience with Figma and the ability to accurately implement design specs.
- Solid understanding of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Experience with popular page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, Beaver Builder, Gutenberg, etc).
- Knowledge of WordPress core functions, theme and plugin development, and CMS best practices.
- Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and development workflows.
- Experience with WooCommerce or other WordPress-based eCommerce platforms.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and AJAX.
- Understanding of SEO, accessibility, and performance optimisation.
- Ability to troubleshoot cross-browser and cross-device issues.
