Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Laravel Developer to join our dynamic team across our Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad offices. This is an excellent opportunity to build robust and scalable web applications for our diverse international clientele, contributing directly to our full-stack sales and support solutions.
As a Laravel Developer at Infinitum Media™, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality back-end systems using the Laravel framework. You'll ensure our applications are performant, secure, and seamlessly integrated with various front-end and third-party services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain back-end web applications and APIs using PHP and the Laravel framework.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented PHP code following Laravel best practices and coding standards.
- Work with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) to design schemas, write complex queries, and optimize database performance using Eloquent ORM.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for seamless communication between different services and front-end applications.
- Implement robust authentication, authorization, and security features within applications.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing Laravel applications to improve performance and address issues.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other team members to define requirements and deliver integrated solutions.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge within the team.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in the Laravel ecosystem and broader PHP community.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience as a Laravel Developer, with a strong portfolio of web application projects.
- Expert proficiency in PHP and strong experience with the Laravel framework.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
- Proficiency in working with MySQL or other relational databases, including database design and query optimization.
- Experience with RESTful API development and consumption.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ideally a modern JavaScript framework (e.g., Vue.js, React, Angular).
- Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Understanding of unit testing (e.g., PHPUnit) and integration testing within Laravel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
