Position Overview
We are looking for a seasoned and motivated Restaurant Manager to lead day-to-day operations, drive service excellence, and manage a diverse team across our Japanese and Chinese dining concepts. Prior experience in managing Japanese restaurants is mandatory, with a strong grasp of service etiquette, cuisine familiarity, and cultural understanding.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant functions, ensuring seamless guest experiences.
- Manage both front-of-house and kitchen teams, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Maintain consistent quality in food, service, and ambiance aligned with Japanese standards.
- Address and resolve customer concerns with professionalism and care.
- Oversee stock levels, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships.
- Monitor hygiene, safety, and regulatory compliance at all times.
- Work closely with chefs to maintain menu consistency and optimize preparation processes.
- Analyze sales and expense reports; implement strategies to meet revenue and cost targets.
- Support marketing and promotional campaigns in collaboration with the brand team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Management, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of managerial experience in a Japanese restaurant (Chinese cuisine exposure is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of Japanese dining culture, service style, and menu components.
- Effective leadership, decision-making, and team-building capabilities.
- Ability to multitask, manage pressure, and maintain service excellence.
- Familiarity with POS and restaurant management systems.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
