The Division:
At CSIPay, a Jonas company, we are dedicated to empowering Constellation’s six operating groups in the USA and Canada with seamless payment processing solutions. The Position:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced QA Manager to lead our growing Quality Assurance team. This individual will be responsible for managing the QA team, with a focus on both technical delivery and team development. This is a key leadership role that requires strong QA expertise and effective people management skills.
The selected individual will be based at the Contour Software - Karachi office, working as an extension of the division-based R&D team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the QA team working on division projects and releases.
- Define and implement QA strategies, test plans/cases, and processes to ensure product quality.
- Oversee and contribute to both manual and automated testing efforts in alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Collaborate with development, product, and project management teams to ensure seamless QA integration.
- Review pull requests (PRs) from the test automation codebase and provide feedback to ensure consistency, maintainability, and adherence to established standards.
- Define, Implement and enforce best practices and coding standards for test case implementation within the automation framework.
- Monitor and report on QA metrics, risks, and test results.
- Support talent development through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing within the QA team.
- Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, including 2+ years in a management or lead role
- Proven experience in both manual and automated testing environments.
- Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Technical Skills:
- Strong ability to contribute to and review test automation code as needed, ensuring high standards of quality and alignment with best practices
- Hands-on expertise in tools/technologies/environments:
- API automation using RestAssured, Postman.
- UI automation using Selenium/Playwright and related frameworks.
- BDD frameworks like Cucumber using Java and Gherkin syntax.
- Test planning, test case design, and defect management.
- SQL for data validation and backend testing.
- Familiarity with:
- Agile/Scrum methodologies,
- Version control systems like Git,
- CI tools like Jenkins and general CI/CD best practices.
Leadership & Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead with empathy, foster team engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex projects.
